A catarinense TAC Motors já iniciou a produção do jipe Stark nas novas instalações em Sobral, interior do Ceará. Para garantir menores custos de produção e também novos incentivos fiscais, a empresa transferiu sua linha de produção para o Nordeste no final de 2012.

Com produção mensal de 120 unidades, a TAC Motors espera agora ampliar as vendas e se aproximar da rival Troller, que pertence à Ford e também tem fábrica no estado. Com 130 empregados, a empresa irá transferir também a administração da montadora para Sobral.

Atualmente com oito lojas, a TAC Motors espera atingir 18 pontos de venda até o final de 2013. A empresa revela que há planos para novos produtos, todos inicialmente voltados para o mercado interno, já que não há planos para exportação.

O TAC Stark é um 4×4 com visual moderno e atraente, que tem na base FPT sua mecânica. Ele conta com motor diesel 2.3 com 127 cv (o mesmo do Fiat Ducato), suspensão independente nas quatro rodas, amortecedores duplos em cada roda e discos de freio traseiros.
