Os comerciantes do entorno do Centro de Convenções, já começam a se preocupar com a montagem da estrutura do Carnabral, micareta que acontece todos os anos em Sobral. O motivo da preocupação está relacionado ao corte dos serviços básicos como internet e telefonia, que nos anos anteriores tiveram os cabos retirado pelos organizadores para dar passagem ao trio elétrico, deixando as empresas principalmente as auto-escolas sem poder atender a sua clientela.

Temendo ficar sem esses serviços os donos das auto-escolas já estão comunicando aos alunos que as aulas teoricas e práticas poderão sofrer interrupção, durante a micareta, o que causará um grande prejuízo para o município. No ano passado segundo um dos diretores das auto-escolas o serviço foi restabelecido uma semana depois do evento, pelas empresas que fornecem os serviços e não pela empresa responsável pelo evento.

Outra reclamação parte dos moradores, que têm suas frentes de residências transformadas em banheiros pelos brincantes da micareta, além da falta de coleta de lixo nos dias do evento.
