Emprestado pelo Corinthians, Iarley foi apresentado nesta terça-feira ao Ceará, seu time de coração. Durante entrevista coletiva concedida na sede do clube, o jogador demonstrou entusiasmo por defender a
equipe nordestina e quase contou o nome de um reforço que está próximo de um acerto com o clube.
"Todos sabem que torço pelo Ceará, é uma coisa que vem desde criança. Estou muito feliz, explodindo por dentro. Só não estou chorando para depois não falarem nada por aí", brincou o jogador, que foi repreendido pelo presidente Evandro Leitão quando ia entregar de bandeja aos jornalistas o nome do jogador que negocia com a diretoria.
"Não tem mais ninguém da minha época (foi revelado pelo time alvinegro). Mas agora está chegando um amigo meu, que foi campeão comigo no Internacional", dizia, quando foi interrompido pelo mandatário, que ainda não anunciou oficialmente a contratação.
Iarley fica no Ceará até o dia 30 de junho de 2011. Nesta data, se encerra seu contrato com o Corinthians e ele estará livre para acertar de maneira definitiva com qualquer clube. Se tiver bom desempenho no Campeonato Cearense, a tendência é de que renove com o clube e permaneça até o fim da carreira.
O atacante vai se apresentar no dia 3 de janeiro. Outros reforços contratados pelo clube, o zagueiro Juninho e o atacante Júnior, começam a treinar no dia 27, junto com parte do grupo. Iarley ganhou alguns dias a mais de férias após conversar com o presidente e dizer que precisava de um tempo maior para descansar. Ele, porém, se colocou à disposição caso precise treinar já no dia 27.
