Câmara vai votar urgência para projeto que libera biografias não autorizadas

Os líderes partidários da Câmara dos Deputados anunciaram, após reunião hoje (22), que será votada amanhã (23) a urgência para apreciação do projeto de lei que trata de biografias não autorizadas. O tema vem sendo motivo de polêmicas entre artistas e escritores.

De um lado, grandes nomes da cultura brasileira como Caetano Veloso e Chico Buarque de Holanda, que defendem a proibição da publicação de biografias não autorizadas pelos personagens principais ou por suas famílias, em caso de morte. Do outro, biógrafos consagrados como Fernando Morais, que alegam ser essa uma forma de contar a história do Brasil e que, portanto, o público tem direito às informações.

Diante da polêmica, que tem gerado muitas ações judiciais, os deputados decidiram apressar a votação do projeto que libera a publicação das biografias não autorizadas. A proposição teve parecer favorável em todas as comissões pelas quais passou e seguiu para o plenário por causa de um recurso.
