Homem é preso em Sobral com 1.200 pacotes de cigarro paraguaio contrabandeado

A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) recolheu 1.200 pacotes de cigarro paraguaio da marca Gift, de venda proibida no Brasil, após perseguição na BR-222, km 235, em Sobral.

Um homem que não teve o nome divulgado, conduzindo veículo modelo Toyota Hilux, recebeu ordem de parada no km 229, mas desobedeceu e empreendeu fuga, realizando manobras perigosas na rodovia, segundo a PRF.

Após ser parado, foram encontrados no veículo 24 caixas de cigarro, com 50 pacotes cada uma, e uma quantia de R$ 1.050. O motorista informou que a mercadoria havia sido comprada em Teresina (PI) e seria comercializada em Sobral e municípios vizinhos.

Cada caixa do produto custou R$ 600 e seria vendida por R$ 750, de acordo com o condutor da Hilux. O homem foi preso por contrabando e encaminhado à Delegacia de Polícia Civil de Sobral.

Balanço de acidentes
As polícias Rodoviárias Estadual (PRE) e Federal (PRF) registraram das 7h da última quarta-feira, 12, até as 7h desta quinta-feira, 13, nove acidentes com oito pessoas feridas e uma morte. Destes, seis acidentes foram registrados nas estradas estaduais, com três feridos e uma morte, e três nas federais, com cinco pessoas feridas.

Por volta de 16h da última quarta-feira, 12, um capotamento de veículo na CE 085, KM 92, município de Chaval, resultou na morte de Israel Evangelista Souza Coelho, 31 anos, condutor.

Ocorrências
Um homem identificado como Francisco Carlos Araujo da Silva, de 50 anos, foi abordado pela Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) por andar nu, na BR-116, em Fortaleza. Ele foi encaminhado para o Hospital de Saúde Mental de Messejana, onde já havia sido internado. A instituição tenta localizar os familiares do paciente.
