Colégio Sobralense de Tempo Integral Maria Dorilene Arruda Aragão conquistou 15 medalhas.
Os alunos da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Sobral conquistaram 27 medalhas na X Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas (Obmep 2014). Foram 2 (duas) medalhas de ouro, 9 (nove) de prata, 16 de bronze, além de 120 menções honrosas. Os resultados foram divulgados na sexta-feira, 28 de novembro. Os alunos medalhistas e premiados com menção honrosa poderão participar do Programa de Iniciação Científica Jr. da Obmep (PIC).


Participaram da Obmep 2014 mais de 18,1 milhões de alunos de 46.712 escolas de 5.533 municípios de todo o Brasil. As escolas de Sobral vêm se destacando na competição e superando seus resultados. No ano de 2013 foram 23 medalhas e 97 menções honrosas.


Inaugurado pelo Prefeito Veveu, em fevereiro deste ano, o Colégio Sobralense de Tempo Integral Maria Dorilene Arruda Aragão, no Complexo Monsenhor Aloísio Pinto, teve o maior número de medalhas em Sobral. Os alunos conquistaram 15 das 27 medalhas, sendo 2 (duas) de ouro, 6 (seis) de prata e 7 (sete) de bronze, além de 9 (nove) menções honrosas.


A Rede Municipal de Sobral também teve 3 escolas premiadas pelos resultados obtidos na Obmep: Colégio Sobralense de Tempo Integral Maria Dorilene Arruda Aragão; Escola José Inácio Gomes Parente (Distrito de Jordão) e Escola Trajano de Medeiros.


Foram premiados, ainda, cinco professores, que receberão diploma e assinatura da Revista do Professor de Matemática: Antonio Wescley Barros Duarte e Jesus Nazareno Araújo Monção (Escola José Inácio Gomes Parente); Francisco Airton Almeida (Escola Trajano de Medeiros); Osmildo Portela Pontes (Escola Elpídio Ribeiro da Silva – Distrito de Torto) e Luciano Epifanio Fernandes (Colégio Sobralense Maria Dorilene Arruda Aragão).
